Celebrating A Dedicated Volunteer Community 2021
The PMI Toronto Chapter is one of the largest chapters with over 5000 members. We are a Chapter that is made-up, in large part, of volunteers who give their time and expertise in project management, communications, human resources, event planning, marketing, inclusion and diversity, to name just a few. As a Chapter we are dedicated to making a difference and improving the quality of teams, delivering best practices for your work-life, increasing your knowledge and education in project management methodologies, and exploring new ideas and approaches to projects as whole. The Chapter is made up of several different portfolios, each with their own dedicated teams that work to deliver education opportunities, certification knowledge and preparations, valuable skills in PM processes, and growth opportunities for our members, communities, and all project practitioners in various industries. We are, ourselves, a community and as such we honour and appreciate the dedication of our volunteers.
Our Volunteer Community = A Strong Chapter
During the pandemic we have all been impacted in work, life, health, and even in how we communicate. Having been a community where so much of what we did revolved around in-person events, our volunteers, members, and non-members made a quick transition to virtual events to keep our community thriving. The last year resulted in greater opportunities to increase our engagement in virtual events and networking. We held courses for various certifications and hosted experts in several knowledge areas to present to our community and increase our understanding of the world around us.
At the end of June we held a virtual celebration to acknowledge the valued work of our volunteers. Every one of our volunteers works hard to strengthen our Chapter and we thank them again for their incredible dedication and work.
Award Recipients
We honoured five volunteers at our celebration. Each of these individuals have been recognized by their peers for the impact they have each made to our Chapter, their dedicated portfolios, teams, and communities.
We congratulate the following award recipients for their dedicated service and commitment to PMI Toronto Chapter:
