PMI Toronto Chapter Meeting

Title: The Key to Successful Strategic Transformation Projects

Synopsis:
Levio Consulting specializes in delivering benefits through the delivery of complex and high visibility projects in large organizations. They will share their experience and perspective on how to transform high-risk projects into resounding successes. To demonstrate this, the speaker, Francois Dion, will refer to the major transformation program currently underway in Desjardins General Insurance Group that Levio is leading.

Like every other major insurance company in the world, Desjardins has been facing mounting pressure to digitize its service delivery model and reduce the go-to-market time to roll-out new products. As a result, Desjardins launched a major initiative to modernize its core IT systems and business processes. In 2015, Desjardins initiated the largest ever Canadian M&A in the Insurance industry: the acquisition of State Farm’s Canadian operations. In the wake of that acquisition, it quickly became apparent that integrating State Farm’s systems and business processes would be a major undertaking that would have a profound impact on Desjardins’ existing modernization program.
