Bringing over 20 years of experience in the Goverment and Commercial Industry, Mr Farrow has compiled a set of Best Practices that he would like to share with us. Kevin will focus on three key areas that we are constantly challenged with, in our everyday projects these are Quality Management, Risk Management and Schedule Management. Tying these back to real case scenarios Kevin will ensure that you each walk away with practices that will make you better Project Managers.

An overview of commercial real estate including, mixed use and residential condominium development construction financing process including: 
-Stages of development 
-Types of capital 
-Sources of capital 
-Key considerations for senior lenders 
-How condo developers use other peoples money

To provide general framework of real estate financing market

To provide project managers insight into the capital considerations of their clients (developers, vendors, etc).

To provide insight into the development / construction process with focus on financing

Mr Gemmell
is the Chief Operating and Compliance Officer of R2. He is responsible for strategic direction, deal structuring, operations, and sits on R2's Board of Directors and Investment Committee. Chad has transacted over $5 billion of real estate during his career. Up until recently Chad was a Vice President at JLL (formerly Jones Lang LaSalle), where he was co-head of the Debt Capital Markets group. Chad holds an MBA from NSYSU and an undergraduate degree in finance from Lakehead University. He is married and has two dogs Tuk-Tuk and Kaya.

Kevin Farrow is a graduate of the University of Waterloo, a licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, and a LEED Accredited Professional.  Kevin has worked in the Construction industry for the past 20 years.  Kevin works with Gillam Group Inc. as a Project Director leading their operations department and assisting management with their continued growth and success of the company.

Kevin in the past has worked as a Project Manager, Project Director, Director of Construction, Production Manager & Director of Business Development for major projects.

Kevin’s brings to us his experience from these following projects : The Thunder Bay Consolidated Courthouse, a $247 million project,  Roy McMurtry Youth Detention Centre in Brampton, a $100 million, The Peace Bridge Boarder Crossing in Fort Erie, CFB North Bay, CFB Trenton Hangar 1, and BMW’s 1 Sunlight Park, BMW’s first 6 storey vertical showroom adjacent to the Don Valley Parkway in Toronto .
