Online Webinar - Forecast Your Future World: Learn to easily create forecasts using Microsoft Excel
How long will your next product release take? What features can be ready by this hard delivery date? What’s the likelihood of getting this product backlog completed by the end of the year?
Product owners and agile project managers don’t work with project schedules anymore, but they still must answer questions like these from their organizational leaders. Project teams still must align expectations with key stakeholders and foster good decision-making for their organization.
Whether done using expert opinion or historical data, forecasting offers project practitioners an excellent way to create alignment and foster sound decision-making. Forecasting assesses both the possibilities and probabilities of uncertain future outcomes.
Does that sound complicated? It’s not; in fact, it’s easy to do with the right tools and techniques.
In this webinar, learn how to use Microsoft Excel® and a freely licensed estimation technique called Statistical PERT® to easily and quickly create forecasts for your uncertain future world.
- Understand how forecasting the future differs from predicting the future, and why forecasting is preferable
- Understand how to model simple project uncertainties using an Excel-based, statistical model (Statistical PERT) to solve basic forecasting problems
- Understand how to model more complex problems using Statistical PERT
- Discover effective ways of sharing your forecasts with organizational leaders
