How PMI Toronto assists with Professional Development

Promotion and support of certification and continuing certification, and project management education/training through the provision of CAPM Certification Exam Review Sessions, Continuing Education Presentations, Mentoring Programs and Monthly Meetings, forms the keystone of PMI Toronto's Professional Development Programs. Besides the various programs presented by the Chapter, members in the Toronto area also have access to a variety of additional opportunities for expanding their knowledge provided by Authorized Training Partners (ATPs), educational institutions, local governments, and ProjectWorld.

Continuing Education Presentations

The PMI Toronto Chapter is offering its members a series of presentations on advanced project management topics at intervals during PMI Toronto's program year.  Besides being of significant educational value, the presentations offer Project Management Professionals attractive opportunities to earn Professional Development Units (PDUs) required for Continuing Certification.  Details of forthcoming presentations are found in the Calendar of Events area on the website. Mentoring Programs

For many years, PMI Toronto Chapter has offered its members from all industries, two mentoring programs.

The programs are based on a face-to-face/one-on-one approach and are open to all members of the Toronto Chapter.  All information exchanged between the mentor and mentee is strictly confidential.

The program benefits include:

  • Allows more experienced project managers (mentors) to guide and assist the less experienced project managers (mentees);
  • Allows both, mentors and mentees, to study from each other and enhance the knowledge of the variety of profession related subjects;
  • Allows participants to earn PDU's; and
  • Provides satisfaction to participants when the mentoring results come to fruition.
