PMIT COVID-19 Update



The COVID-19 pandemic that significantly impacted many aspects of our personal and professional life has entered its second year. In Ontario, the COVID-19 immunization program started with a three-phased distribution plan, and vaccination continues to progress steadily. It remains important to protect yourself and others from infection by following prevention and management measures. For the most up-to-date information on COVID-19 and health guidelines, please refer to official resources, including Health CanadaPublic Health Ontario, and World Health Organization.



PMI Toronto continues offering online certification courses and virtual events to keep our project management community engaged, and we would like to sincerely thank all our members and volunteers for their continued support and commitment throughout these unprecedented times.

PMI Hardship Provision

In the current stressful times of COVID-19, PMI Global would like to remind its members of the financial assistance under the PMI Hardship Provision.

The PMI Hardship Provision is available to any PMI member whose financial condition has changed drastically and sufficiently so that a member would have difficulty renewing their membership. Under this provision, a member is granted a waiver for one year of PMI membership dues and one year of dues for membership to their local PMI Chapter.

For consideration

  • A member must be in good standing for at least 3 previous years.
  • To apply, send a letter explaining the nature of the hardship, along with your PMI invoice, to the attention of PMI’s Membership Processing prior to your membership expiration date, to the address below.

Please remember that any incorrect or untrue statements made by a member are in violation of the Project Management Institute Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and may lead to the initiation of an ethics complaint in accordance with the PMI Ethics Case Procedures.
