PMI Toronto Chapter Events and Courses Cancellation and Refund Policy

PMI Toronto is committed to providing quality event programming for our members and community. In order to continue providing events and ensure that all resources are being utilized effectively, the following policy applies to both online and in-person events.

1. If a registrant chooses to cancel attending their event, the cancellation must be sent in writing by email to info@pmitoronto.ca with the Order ID with the Event Name and Date.
2. Unless specifically stated on event materials, the cancellation deadline and refund are as follows:
  a. In-Person Events:
    Cancellations must be received by 5:00 pm, 5 business days before the event. There will be a 20% administration fee charged for cancellations subtracted from the refund.
  b. Online/Virtual Events:
    Cancellations must be received by 5:00 pm, 2 business days before the event to receive 100% refund. No refunds will be issued within 2 business days before the event.
  c. Certification Courses (Online/Virtual and In-Person):
    i. For cancellation received by 5:00 pm, greater than 10 business days before the course, a 5% administration fee will be charged, subtracted from the refund.
    ii. For cancellation received by 5:00 pm, within 10 business days before the course, a 20% administration fee will be charged, subtracted from the refund.
  d. No refund will be issued on the day of the event and for no-shows.
3. In the event that PMI Toronto, due to circumstances beyond their control, cancels an event, registered participants will be notified of the cancellation via an email broadcast. PMI Toronto will also endeavor to get meeting cancellation notices broadcasted through its social media channels. All registered participants will be refunded 100% of their registration fee.
4. Notification of the re-scheduled events will also be communicated via an email broadcast directly to registered participants. Registrants will select if they wish to transfer the registration to new event at no additional charge or be refunded 100% of their registration fee.
5. Certification Course Retakes:
  a. No retake is allowed beyond one year after the conclusion of the registrant’s course.
  b. Retaking a certification course may require updated course materials. The registrant will be required to pay the cost and handling of updated course materials with the cost determined and approved by the Director of the relevant PMI Toronto Portfolio.
6. Transferring Registrations
  a. In-Person or Online/Virtual Events:
    Transferring a registration will be granted at no cost, if notification is received in writing by email to info@pmitoronto.ca.
  b. Certification Courses:
    Transferring a registration is not permitted.
