Synopsis:

On March 26, the PMI Toronto Chapter will be hosting a panel discussion to exchange ideas on women’s social and professional contributions in todays’ world and to recognize their achievements across different industries. Five amazing women will share their opinion on innovation, leadership, importance of education, career opportunities, women’s empowerment and setting an example for the next generation. It will be an evening of inspiring stories and a chance to stand together to support and encourage women to stand by their ambitions across various industries.

Biography:

Diane AbreraDiane-Abrera.jpg
Diane Abrera is an architect and Project Manager at Unit A Architecture with 10 years of experience in the field.  She approaches her projects holistically to achieve successful, accessible and healthy architectural solutions to the built environment. Diane’s projects include multi-unit residential buildings, offices, and renovations of educational, healthcare, and commercial spaces. She received her Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto.

As an industrial designer and computer scientist, Luiza Dragonescu has over twenty-five years of experience in solution design, project implementation and transformation programs. Her latest projects include UX/UI Design, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data. Combining her expertise and enthusiasm for innovative and adaptive technologies, she stays on the cutting edge of business, offering consulting for IBM, KPMG, PWC and Capgemini France, as well as Top Five Banks. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Luiza continues to stay engaged in academia and can be spotted on university campuses. She has always had a passionate desire to share her experience and knowledge, and does so with zeal, encouraging like-minded people in their pursuit of personal and professional development.

Gypsie Khir

Gypsie Khir is a supply chain and consulting professional with a background in consulting, procurement and engineering, who helps the companies to get visibility on and reduce cash trapped in their receivables, payables and inventory. She is currently working as a Senior Manager, Cashflow Transformation services, at Ernst & Young. Gypsie is a leader in process improvement and program management. At her previous position at Bombardier, she was coaching a team to support completion of business unit mandates and was managing the relationship with both internal and supplier stakeholders in the context of new business sourcing and non-compliances resolution for production and in-service.

Zahra Peer Mohammed

Zahra Peer Mohammed, a Partner Marketing Advisor at Microsoft, holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing from the Queen's University. As a marketing professional, she strives to put together campaigns that enable sales and pique the customer's interest. Zahra has a strategic mindset and understands an importance of building a strong successful team. She always seeks new ways to rise above the noise. Zahra’s past job experiences include such companies as Softchoice and Cityscape Real Estate Ltd.

Allison Straker is passionate about people and helping them better experience their world. She has 2 decades of IT experience (business analysis, quality assurance and project/portfolio management), plus she runs a small graphic and interior design firm. Allison works as a Research Director at Info-Tech Research Group, researching and guiding people on best practices in Application Delivery and Management.
