Synopsis:

(1) Key focus is to share with you the fantastic benefits, personally and professionally, of working in a Not for Profit environment – namely the CNIB - and how it can differ from Corporate. Learn what YOU can bring in terms of value add to this area with your knowledge and work experience working as a PM or a Change Manager. Additionally, give insight into some of the great work that the CNIB does and practical information on how you can get involved in giving back in a professional and voluntary stance.

(2) An in depth look at how volunteering your project management time and experience can be a win-win for You and the organizations you are helping. Sharpen your project management skills, build your experience and create a network of contacts as your reputation and prowess grow. Where to look for opportunities, what you can gain from these engagements and how you can get started.

(1) Yvonne Laramee

Yvonne has over 25 years experience in Solution Design and Project Implementation in the UK and Canada focused mainly on People and Business Transformation in Customer Centric environments. Decided to take a total jump in direction two years ago to go Independent and start DelYver Consulting – always had a passionate desire to bring her experience and knowledge to Not for Profit environments, as well as still dabbling in the private sector. Some of her recent all Canadian Clients have included Climb (Focus on building bright financial futures for its Customers), Communication Zone, Lung Association of Ontario and primarily with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. Main focus of work with the CNIB has been building on their strategic plan to increase Accessible locations into locations across Canada in the form of Community Hubs.

Yvonne was a long time Volunteer for the PMI and most recently the ACMP. Now trying her Volunteer skills with the Liverpool FC Supporters Club in Toronto – a very different audience! A passionate “Soccer” fan, Raptor Fan, Snowboarder and Golfer in her spare time. A passionate individual when it comes to people and change management and likes to bring the hybrid approach to existing and new Clients, and, loves to share her experiences with others.

(2) Vera Cvetkovic

Vera currently serves as your PMI Toronto Chapter Communication portfolio director. She is PMP certified and Toronto Chapter member and volunteer since 2004. Last 10 years actively mentoring through Chapter Career Accelerator Program.

Started her career as Consultant at Canadian Government in 1998. Since 2001 she worked for well-known global companies Epsilon/Alliance Data and Salesforce performing various leadership roles. In the last 5+ years focused on system integration and delivery, digital transformation and technology innovations in various industry verticals. Currently part of Deloitte Canada Consulting team.

A seasoned professional with career history of leading cross functional teams to top levels of productivity, project quality, cost savings and revenue generation. Cross-discipline communicator who garners team unity and singularity of purpose toward goal attainment. Motivating leader who takes teams to levels of achievement far beyond original expectations, yielding strong customer satisfaction, profitability and business growth.
