GTIS BRANCH - BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION - HOW TO MANAGE?
Event Type: GTIS Branch Event
Presenter: Carol Donohue
Title: Business Transformation - How to Manage?
Synopsis:
This interactive workshop is about business transformation and change management, with a discussion of the new paradigm of how to manage business transformation projects with dispersed outsourced teams while keeping stakeholder alignment.
In our increasingly complex and fast paced society, change has become a constant. Whether corporations are responding to shareholders, competitors or social media, there is constant pressure to increase revenues, reduce costs, expand market share and increase customer loyalty. The success of a corporation is dependent upon how successfully they implement their short term and long term strategies.
Change Management occurs on many levels: Organizational, Information Technology, Business Process, Contract and Project Management. All areas need to be aligned to effect change and business transformation. PMI's new branding "Making project management indispensable for business results" is a testament of the necessity to have a solid process around change in order to achieve successful results.
This workshop will examine the elements of business transformation - the people, processes and systems. A discussion on how these elements interact in the overall corporate ecosystem will elicit what actions/processes will either foster or hinder successful change adoption.
