Synopsis:

Project management tools and practice don’t always fit neatly the intended goals and some outputs of human service projects. Zannalyn’s presentation will be delivered through a case study of developing and scaling a multimillion-dollar human services project using PM practice in an environment at the beginning of their journey to the application of project management process within the day-to-day operations. The project included many diverse stakeholders, multiple often competing requirements but ultimately led to valuable takeaways and best practices that can be applied to human service projects.

Zannalyn Robest

Zannalyn Robest has over 15 years’ advisory, policy/project management experience. She specializes in breathing life into policy through project management. Zannalyn disrupts policies and practices that no longer serve intended goals and is skilled in continuous improvement and risk management.

Zannalyn has been tapped to lead change management and policy development, impacting over 10,000 staff. In addition, she has advanced a focus on Confronting Anti-Black Racism as chair of her Corporate Black Staff Network where she employs project and change management to engage senior leaders and move the corporation along the continuum to CABR maturity.  

Zannalyn is keen to share the learnings of scaling a trauma informed, workforce development/mental health project and her journey to securing multi-year project funding to the tune of 6.4M.
