If you register after 12:00 pm on Thursday, February 9, please bring proof of registration, to make onsite registration smoother.
Event Type: PMO Branch Event and Government Community Event
Topic: Putting the “E” in PMO - A Look at the Value Proposition of EPMOs in Strategy Fulfillment and Realizing Benefits
Overview:
Enterprise Project (Program) Management Offices are the way of the future. In theory, EPMOs can potentially play a critical role in delivering organizational value, yet many organizations struggle in moving to an EPMO, realizing the benefits, and positioning it for long-term success.
Effective EPMOs have a broad enterprise-wide responsibility and help direct strategy and focus on value delivery. Organizations that align their EPMO to strategy report 27 percent more projects completed successfully and 42 percent fewer projects with scope creep.
Join the PMO Branch and our expert speakers as we explore various aspects of EPMOs such as:
- Starting an EPMO or transitioning from a PMO(s): Pitfalls and Lessons Learned
- Aligning your EPMO with Organizational Strategy
- Link between EPMOs and PM maturity of practice
- Three elements of PPM Success and a roadmap to PMO succes
Benefits Realization:
- Connecting Project Execution to Strategy Fulfillment (What do EPMOs have to do differently to show bottom line impact for their organization?)
- Developing Strong Capabilities (achieving greater maturity as an EPMO).
