Overview:
What do mermaids, crocodiles and the bronze age have in common with the effective application of change management? 

This interactive presentation will provide the answer to that question as well as explore the role change management can play in delivering successful strategy, projects and cultural acceptance within organizations and develop deep change readiness. 

Change projects demand heightened leadership and change management expertise to motivate and unite people behind the project vision; continuous alignment of teams with strategic goals; focused change management and change leadership.  

Come hear Richard Batchelor speak on the topic of Change Management and how the PMO is ideally placed to support and assist change management activities in an organization.

• Understand the difference between change management and managing change 
• See the opportunities for partnership  by strategically collaborating change management and project management approaches 
• Understand the cause of resistance and learn some easy to apply approaches to reduce its occurrence and impact. 

Speaker Bio:

Rich Batchelor: Rich has been delivering successful change for 25 years, enthusiastically promoting change management at every opportunity. With 18 years of Public Sector experience and almost 8 years of consulting experience he has worked with organizations all over the world varying in size from 12 to 160,000 employees. His credits include developing the change management model for UK government and being a founding member of the Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP). He is the founder and current President of the ACMP Toronto Chapter and chair of their global Chapter Leadership Forum. He has a master in change management degree, numerous other qualification including lean six sigma, HR, Project Management, Coaching, Counseling and Psychotherapy. He has developed a globally respected certified change agent program and  is a published author for numerous articles and books on change and human behaviour.

Cancellations must be received by 5:00 pm, 5 business days before the event and must be sent in writing by email to events@soc.pmi.on.ca. There will be a 20% administration fee charged for cancellations, subtracted from the refund. Cancellation/refund requests will not be accepted less than 5 business days before the event. However, substitutions are welcome. Please let us know by 12:00 noon the day before the event of the person you wish to substitute by emailing events@soc.pmi.on.ca
