Synopsis:
Project managers are at the forefront of managing projects impacted by disruption and innovation. New ideas and technologies such as artificial intelligence and digitalization require PMs to apply nimble and agile thinking in their approach to project management. As private firms and public bodies respond to new and emerging market demands, projects can be derailed by the swift changes required by the market to address new and emerging ideas associated with disruption and innovation.
Join us in the discussion of some useful tools to leverage disruption and manage change in a rapidly evolving environment.
Biography:
Carrie Elrick
Inspired by listening to employees share a heartfelt desire to make a difference through their work, Carrie created Project Rescuers to help people achieve this goal. With over 20 years experience working with clients in many industries, Carrie comes to Project Rescuing with experience as well as solid academic background achieved through her Master of Business Administration and her Master of Social Work. Her strength lies in understanding the nexus between human behaviour and business process. Her biggest message is to never underestimate the power of culture.
Steven Hetherington, PMP, Prosci
Steve has over 20 years of experience in Project Management and People Leadership in diverse industries. He has led the development and implementation of innovative technologies that result in enhanced business systems, increased performance and productivity, and improved employee engagement. He has the ability to lead and manage transformational change, build high performance teams and deliver business results.
Salima Rawji
Salima Rawji is Vice President Development for CreateTO, the City of Toronto's Real Estate Agency. Salima is a City-Builder committed to the advancement of both the real estate industry and her broader community. She sits on the International Council of Shopping Centre’s P3 National Advisory Committee, the Ryerson University Real Estate Management Advisory Council and is a former member of the Management Committee for the Urban Land Institute Toronto. She is a Director for CivicAction, the Toronto Foundation and recently completed a six year term on the Board of Directors for the Homes First Foundation. Salima is a Women’s Leadership Initiative Champion, a 2010 DiverseCity Fellow and holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto.
Sarah Stallan
Sarah Stallan graduated from the William's School of Business and Economics at Bishop's University in 2005, and has enjoyed a career in the IT realm ever since. Sarah has used her Relationship Management and Communications strengths to successfully navigate the worlds of Software Development, Infrastructure, Project Management, as well as her current happy home in the Consulting world at Adaptavist.
