Synopsis:

For those of us working in the dynamic, fast-paced worlds of artificial intelligence, blockchain, robotics, etc., organizational change is not an occasional event. It is a constant. This means that the ability to effectively manage change is more valuable than ever. At every stage of business, from start-up to enterprise, organizations need project managers who can lead efficient and productive processes of transformation. Join us for a discussion of change management at all stages in the life cycle of an organization—from start-up to enterprise. The discussion will feature Rich Batchelor, a leading change management consultant and a member of the Program Advisory Committee for Northeastern’s MS in Project Management; Andrea Chan, Senior Operations Manager at Autzu, a tech startup , and Roderick Barrass, a transformational change expert with consulting experience in both the public and private sector.

Biography:

Roderick Barrass

rodrick.JPGRoderick is a seasoned transformational change expert with consulting experience in both the public and private sector. With over 15 years he has developed a broad understanding of how change happens across various types of organizations. His deep expertise in transformational change is driven by new technology implementation and experience with culture change including new op-model implementation, and regulatory driven change. Roderick holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology as well as his PMP certification.


Andrea Chan

achan.pngAndrea is Senior Operations Manager at Autzu, a tech startup that rents cars to Uber drivers. She has over ten years of strategy, operations and marketing across different industries, with experience in multi-sided platforms in the mobility industry. Andrea has managed teams and projects in multiple countries, with an agile focus on change management in the context of startups, and is a strong driver in achieving team goals. She has a Masters in Information Systems Management from HKUST and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University.


Rich Batchelor

rbatchelor.pngRich has been successfully delivering change for over 25 years. His consulting practice has seen him work with organizations across all parts of the globe! His legacy includes developing the change delivery model for UK government and being a founding member of the Association of Change Management Professionals, where he was founding president of the Toronto Chapter for 6 years. He has a masters in change management and is a certified Lego® Serious Play® Facilitator & Workshop Designer. He is also certified in Project Management, Process improvement, Facilitation, HR, Coaching, Counseling and Psychotherapy.  His presentation delivery is known for its passion and direct challenges to the audience. He enjoys the opportunity to disrupt traditional thinking, bring humour to the learning space and enable curiosity to take control of the change space for everyone.
