PART I: Emotional Intelligence for Project Managers
Project managers must be able to control their own emotions in a crisis situation, while anticipating the emotions and reactions of other therefore it is essential not only to be in touch with your own feeling but also understand emotions and feeling of your team members. Emotional Intelligence is the core to connect with your teams by making behavioral shifts and is the key leadership skill for project team leaders.

In difficult situation, project teams along project leaders are under immense pressure to deliver with uncertainty reaching to its maximum. Mastering emotional intelligence will enable us in managing the stress of change and challenge times.

The session will focus on how to take project management to the next level by using the principles of Emotional Intelligence which will help project leaders attaining project objectives successfully.

Learn how project managers can achieve during this time. By building effective relationships with team members and other project stakeholders, to increase their ability to achieve the desired outcomes by managing people emotions.

PART II: KANBAN Framework for Project Managers
Introduce Kanban the visual flow based framework to get projects / tasks done without resource burnout. The process allows to set work in progress (WIP) limits based on the team capacity. The process uses the current process flow as lanes and help the team to track the effort with clear visibility to all stakeholders.

• Know yourself first, to recognize people’s emotions around you
• Learn EI signals to use them for making better connections with your team
• Kanban Framework as a tool for Virtual PM

Biography:

Rabia.pngRabia Saleem Rao is a Senior IT executive having 10+ experience, currently working as Chief Technology Officer at Habib Schools and Habib Education Trust. A goal-oriented person with demonstrating experience in contributing to the infusion of educational technology into schools by providing highly motivating, full-time, professional leadership in all areas of technology planning and technology resource management, project and program management, strategic planning and implementing digital change in schools.

Rabia is a professional with diversified working experience with different industries which includes oil and gas, aviation, hospitals and educational institutions. Planning & implementation, stakeholder management, strategic planning and executing are her strengths augmented by hard-working nature with a can do attitude.

Rabia is a post graduate in Information and Technology from NED University of Engineering & Technology. Some of her Certifications are PMP®, Project Based Learning, USA, High Performance Collaboration, Leadership Communication for Maximum Impact from Northwestern University USA, Emotional Intelligence through Inspired Leadership from Case Western Reserve University, USA.

She also volunteers for PMI Karachi Pakistan Chapter, a global organization in the USA as a Board of Director. She is passionate about bringing in digital transformational change in the educational system for millennial's for a better and safe future.


Bhanu.pngBhanu Viswanadha PMP,CSM,PMI-ACP, SA, SASM, POPM is the IT Architect at NetApp. Previous positions include Program Manager at a major retail and healthcare company and Technical Leader at APL Ltd. While he was the PMO manager at Safeway Inc., he implemented a process for recruiting, mentoring, and motivating the Safeway project management community. Mr. Viswanadha’s other projects include delivering a training program for project manager coaching/mentoring in both waterfall and Agile methodologies. He has also been an Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University and Cogswell Polytechnical College and he is a Past President at PMI Silicon Valley. Bhanu has Masters in Mathematics from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India and Master of Technology in Mathematical Modeling and Simulation from University of Pune, India.
