Virtual Project Management Professional (PMP®) Exam Prep Course (Registration Closed)

PMI Ontario Chapters Present:

The PMP® certification exam content is changing. December 31, 2020, will be the last day to write the current version of the exam.

The PMP is one of the most recognized and most sought-after professional credentials in the world.

This course is intended for individuals preparing to write the PMI certification exam to obtain either their PMP or CAPM designations. In this course, students will review the PMBOK knowledge areas, best practices, and skills that are essential to professional project management

PMP Certification Prerequisites.

Candidates applying for certification as Project Management Professionals must satisfy the educational and experiential requirements for one of the following categories listed below and agree to abide by the Project Management Professional Code of Professional Conduct.

  • A secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree, or the global equivalent)
  • Minimum Five (5) years of Project Management experience
  • 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM® Certification

Your Project Management experience must total a minimum of sixty (60) unique non-overlapping months of professional project management experience, leading and directing the project as identified with the tasks, knowledge, and skills specific in the Project Management Professional Examination Content Outline.

OR

  • A four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or university equivalent)
  • Minimum three (3) years of Project Management experience
  • 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM® Certification

Your Project Management experience must total a minimum of thirty-six (36) unique non-overlapping months of professional project management experience, leading and directing the project as identified with the tasks, knowledge, and skills specific in the Project Management Professional Examination Content Outline.

OR

  • Bachelor’s or post-graduate degree from a GAC accredited program (bachelor’s degree or master’s or global equivalent)
  • Minimum two (2) years of Project Management experience
  • 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM® Certification

Your Project Management experience must total a minimum of twenty-four (24) unique non-overlapping months of professional project management experience, leading and directing the project as identified with the tasks, knowledge, and skills specific in the Project Management Professional Examination Content Outline.

PMI Ontario Chapters virtual PMP Exam Preparation Course based on PMBOK 6th Edition runs on Saturdays 8:00 a.m. - 5:15 p.m., from September 12 to October 17, 2020.

Course materials will be sent to the address that was used for registration prior to the course start.

As materials need to be shipped prior to the course start date, the last date for registration will be Monday, September 7, 2020.

Saturdays 8:00 a.m. - 5:15 p.m., from September 12 to October 17, 2020

Morning sessions will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., including breaks. Afternoon sessions will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., including breaks.

September 12th:

  • Module 1 - Course Overview, Exam Overview, and Chapters 1-3 of PMBOK – Introduction of the Framework-PMBOK Version 6.0
  • Module 1 - Project Integration Management (Chapter 4) – Process Flow, and Integration Management Processes
  • Module 2 - Project Scope Management (Chapter 5)

September 19th:

  • Module 3 – Project Cost Management (Chapter 7)
  • Module 4 - Project Schedule Management (Chapter 6)

September 26th:

  • Module 5 – Project Quality Management (Chapter 8)
  • Module 6 – Project Resource Management (Chapter 9)

October 3rd

  • Module 7 – Project Communications Management (Chapter 10)
  • Module 7 – Project Stakeholders Management (Chapter 13)
  • Module 8 – Project Risk Management (Chapter 11)

(October 10th : Thanksgiving Weekend)

October 17th

  • Module 9 – Project Procurement Management (Chapter 12)
  • Module 10 – Agile, Ethics and Wrap-Up
  • Group discussion on sample exam questions.

Course Fees

PMI Toronto Members: $975 + HST

Non-Members: $1,175 + HST

Please Note: Only Ontario PMI Chapter members are eligible for the discounted rate for the course. You can obtain your PMI and Chapter membership online at the PMI website. In case you are NOT a PMI Toronto member but are a member of another PMI Chapter in Ontario, please register on your chapter website to receive the discounted rate.

Reminder: As materials need to be shipped prior to the course start date, the last date for registration will be Monday, September 7, 2020.

Cancellations must be received by 5:00 p.m., five (5) business days before the event and must be sent in writing by email to events@pmitoronto.ca. There will be a 20% administration fee charged for cancellations, subtracted from the refund. Cancellation/refund requests will not be accepted less than five (5) business days before the event. Substitutions, however, are welcome. Please, inform us by noon the day before the event, with the name of the person who will be your substitute, by emailing events@pmitoronto.ca.

Photography and Filming: Photographs, audio, and video are sometimes captured during PMI OVOC events. By registering, attendees hereby grant ONTARIO Chapters and their representatives permission to photograph and record them at events, and distribute (both now and in the future) the attendee’s image or voice in photographs, social media, videotapes, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes of such events and activities.
