PMI TORONTO WEBINAR - BEYOND THE PERIMETER, LEAD YOURSELF, BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, THINK SYSTEMS
Topic: Beyond the Perimeter, Lead Yourself, Build Relationships, Think Systems
Overview:
There are many definitions of leadership and how you define leadership determines how you lead. However, before you can lead others you must effectively lead yourself and so we need to think about our thinking when it comes to leadership. How do you want to be remembered as a leader which is everyone’s responsibility and not attached to position but rather a reflection of your mindset.
In addition, if you wish to lead effectively you have to build effective business relationships. To do so, it is not one thing, but these five things that are required: self/other awareness, trust, effective conversation, collaboration and the giving and receiving of feedback. In order to understand the relationship and interdependence between leadership and relationships a foundational understanding of systems thinking is required, which is a different way of understanding the complex world we live in.
Learning Objectives:
Six questions every leader needs to ask themselves and be able to answer
